My Beautiful rescue horses

A new life for our rescues.

Here are some horses that came to us in terrible sad condition, I strive to do my BEST to help them "get back on their feet" and find a loving home for them to live out their years. I am one to disagree with neglect and I definitely DO NOT support the people that sit there and watch a horse being abused in any way. Although, I know that it is tough sometimes looking after a horse and for the people who do come to me for help I DO NOT ask questions etc... I appreciate people being honest and hope that people are all for an animal. In some cases this is not how it goes... Please enjoy my rescue horses, I do every day :)

"Cheeky", Saved from going on the doggers truck! I bought this sweet, cheeky little fella because he has feet problems (low level laminitis). No one looked at him because of this problem except for the doggers and me. He has since been specially trimmed by my hubby and specially shod by my very special friend farrier. He is now walking trotting and cantering around without being constantly lame! He is feeling great and that shows in his condition :)

Cheeky is an aged pony (15ish) he will be fixed completely, then either re-homed or sold pending the way he rides as he has no arthritis and is still very much rideable. He is a loving little pony!  Looking for a new home for an adoption fee of $300

 Cheeky getting special shoes! =)

"Baxter" Is a lovely gelding I personally bought from the Knackery as he was thin and unbroken... As soon as I went into the yard to pick out of the 3 horses which one I wanted, he chose me... He was covered in lice, poor and sad...Since living with us he is fat as free of lice and growing nicely! Baxter is a 3yr old Liver Qh Gelding... I am unsure of his future but I will break him in.

See pictures of him arriving to our home and what he looks like now! :)) The 2 horses I left there, I found homes for, so all 3 got forever homes!

"Harry" I bought Harry thru the saleyards. He is a one of a kind all round horse that is happy to do anything with anyone! He is a great jumper, cruising over anything... He is VERY sweet and smoochy... Harry was poorly with lice when we bought him and was headed for the Knackery for being "Ugly". Thank god he is now in a loving home with a lucky lady Amanda her hubby and her children! Pictures in my care and at his new home :) Congrats on a lovely boy!

Harry in his new home with Amanda. What a good boy!

"Toby" We picked up this lovely old soul from his owner that passed away, they surrendered him to us due to no one knowing what to feed him and letting him go.... Toby sadly has Cushing’s disease but is going very well. He is 23 years old and such a sweet loving boy! He is now getting the care he needs.

Below is when we picked him up in the pouring rain.... August 2011

"Damindy" We picked this lovely kind gelding up from the central coast, his owner sadly had to surrender him to me after she didn’t know what else to do to help him. He is now in my care from the 7.3.11. I’m sure he will pick his weight up soon. What a lovely boy :)

Below only a few days later, Dainty is picking up already!!! I am amazed!!!! His bum is filling out and his ribs are slowly diminishing :) so proud of him!!! Damindy enjoys his 4 feeds a day, morning lunch dinner and at 12am. He gets so full he can’t eat anymore!! I’m very happy with his progress!!!!!

This is my Sweet sweet 3yr old Splash paint colt "Cowboy" I bought him sight unseen from a guy called John in QLD who said this "Gelding" was in great condition and easy to do anything with. Please see arrival photos below. Bought 2009

When he arrived he was Emaciated, covered in kick and bite marks, rain scald, terrible broken off feet and sores all down he's legs. So sad, especailly for such a young horse.

Cowboy a COLT, "A new man" In he's prime! What a stunning boy!

Africa is a stunning Jet black triple reg Tb. Sadly her owner couldnt afford to keep her anymore and thought it would be in Africa's best intrest to come to my home to live. She will live her days out as a broodmare once she is in 100% condition..

Sadly Africa was put down due to severe Laminitis and her pedel bone coming through her foot. R.I.P Beautiful girl <3

Here is Africa just a week on!! Look how well she looks :) (Below)
